Sowing Hope: Students of GGPS Bashir Khan Khosa Combat Climate Change Through Afforestation

In the heart of Sohbatpur, Balochistan, where environmental challenges are intensifying due to deforestation and climate change, the students of GGPS Bashir Khan Khosa have taken a remarkable step towards sustainability. The devastating floods of 2022 wreaked havoc on the region, damaging infrastructure, displacing families, and further deteriorating the fragile ecosystem. In response to this growing environmental crisis, members of the Students Club initiated an afforestation drive, planting trees within the school premises.

The region has long suffered from extreme weather conditions, exacerbated by the loss of green cover. Recognizing this challenge, the young students, despite their limited resources, took it upon themselves to create a small but significant change.
